My name is Tatyana Churikova, I'm 28 years old, and I was born and raised in this city. I graduated from St. Petersburg State University with a specialty in Philology. My studies of Russian and English languages and literatures provide a unique lens through which I expose the city's rich history — my studies are a natural extension of my work. I have traveled extensively throughout Russia and the CIS, as well as Western Europe, and return home each time with a renewed sense of what a rare and beautiful place St. Petersburg is.
I received my tour-guide license in 1999 and in the ensuing seven years of experience have shared my native city with over one thousand international visitors, to rave reviews. I offer a wide spectrum of personalized programs, as well as general tours. For first-time visitors to the city who wish to see the highlights and in a limited amount of time, I offer a general tour or an excursion especially designed to accomodate the schedules of cruise ship passengers.
For those with a bit more time, or who have specific personal interests or hobbies they would like to explore while here, I can customize my program to introduce "inside looks" of the city. Part of the process of arranging a tour with me includes an initial conversation or correspondence, during which I get a clear sense of who you are — your interests, passions, and background. I can then create the tour that best fits you, whether it be theatre or concert tickets, boat trips, excursions to some of the neighboring palaces and gardens, tours of museums, and much more. I also take into account the pace at which you like to travel, and any special physical considerations you or your group might have.
When you come to St Petersburg you don’t want to waste your time in long lines. With me, you will encounter fewer of them as I know peak times and in some places have special access.
